- Today, Ravago is heavily invested in a number of warehouses, located in strategic regions across the globe. These logistics centers operate with a lean philosophy, which allows Ravago to achieve its goal of having the lowest cost to serve its customers.
- The Ravago logistics operations handle a broad range of routine operations (such as bulk handling and packaging operations), and more sophisticated value added services (such as blending and pulverizing of resin).
- To further increase the efficiency of its network, Ravago decided to strengthen its supply chain design capabilities and review its network across the company's different channels.
- This has resulted in a change of locations and flows to increase market proximity and payload simultaneously.
- Changing flows also required a change of planning strategies, blending push and pull into a harmonized multi-echelon replenishment planning.
